Students interested in one of the IB program options will apply in January of their sophmore year. IB program coursework is a two-year program during a student's junior and senior years.
Fluent speakers of another language have the opportunity to pursue the Bilingual diploma or career diploma. West Hall is the only school in the country to offer the International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma Programme.

West Hall High School offers the following three options for students to pursue IB curriculum courses:
Diploma Programme
The IB Diploma Programme is an international course of study for 11th and 12th graders. IB Diploma students can earn an International Baccalaureate Diploma that is recognized worldwide as the benchmark of high achievement in a high school curriculum.
In 11th and 12th Grade, students begin the IB Curriculum and take 3 higher level courses and 3 standard level courses. Although they take a total of 6 IB classes, they still have an elective each year for P.E., Band, Chorus, Honors Mentorship, a Career Pathway course, etc.
Full diploma students will also complete the Core of IBDP. The Core includes the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, service learning (called CAS- creativity, action, and service), and the Extended Essay.

The IB Career Programme is an international course of study for 11th and 12th graders. IB Career students take 2 or more IB courses that complement their career choice.
Also, students must successfully complete a career pathway in addition to completing the Core for IBCP. The Core includes the personal and professional skills course, service learning (called CAS- creativity, action, and service), a language portfolio, and a reflective project.

Certificate Coursework
Students may elect to take at least 1 IB course without other requirements (example, take IB Film as an elective).
